As of April 2025, Chrome reinforced its dominance in the web browser landscape, accounting for a staggering 66% of all page views across devices. This means two out of every three internet sessions globally are powered by Chrome, a clear signal of user preference for speed, compatibility, and integration with Google services. Safari, holding second place with 17%, maintains a strong presence among Apple users but remains far behind Chrome’s overwhelming lead.
The rest of the market tells a story of fragmentation and limited influence. Edge and Firefox, once key players in the browser wars, now hold just 5% and 3% respectively, while Samsung Internet and Opera each capture only 2%. Even when combined, these alternatives don’t match Safari’s reach, let alone challenge Chrome.
