The number of millionaires migrating is rising again after the impact of COVID-19 in 2020 and is now projected to reach 128,000 by 2024.

Millionaire migration is reaching new heights, as projections for 2024 show that 128,000 high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs) will relocate globally. This marks a significant rebound from the COVID-19 dip in 2020, which saw only 12,000 millionaires migrate — a decline from 110,000 in 2019. The post-pandemic years have seen a sharp recovery, with 120,000 millionaires migrating in 2023, indicating an increasing trend as global economies stabilise and offer more opportunities for wealth relocation.
