According to the wealth report by Knight Frank, the world boasts of an exclusive population of 626,619 ultra-high-net-worth individuals (UHNWI), each with a net worth exceeding $30 million. This represents just 0.008% of the world's population (estimated at 8.025 billion in 2023).
Of this global elite, North America dominates with 253,066 individuals (40.4%). This is followed by Asia, which is home to 165,442 UHNWIs (26.4%). In Europe, we have the presence of 155,232 UHNWIs (24.8%), making it the third-largest concentration of ultra-wealthy individuals.
Meanwhile, the Middle East and Australasia, with 18,790 (3.0%) and 17,934 (2.9%) UHNWIs, respectively, highlight their smaller but significant share of the global wealth elite. Latin America accounts for 13,159 UHNWIs (2.1%), while Africa, despite its vast resources, has only 2,996 individuals (0.5%).
