Six Asian countries and regions make up four-fifths of global mobile phone exports in 2023

Vietnam, Hong Kong, and India complete the top four, accounting for 11.8%, 9.7%, and 5.3% of the total, respectively. China and India have been the top sources of international students in the US since 2001, now making up a combined 54%

Asian countries have dominated natural rubber production, with 90% of global output since 1990
Côte d'Ivoire emerged as the world's fourth-largest producer of natural rubber in 2022. Cote d'Ivoire, Nigeria, and Liberia are the only African countries in the top ten between 1990 and 2022.

Nigerian students rank third in Canadian study permit recipients for 2023, surpassing Philippines and Nepal
In 2023, Nigerian students emerged as the third-highest recipients of Canadian study permits, behind India and China. This marked a jump from their fifth position in 2022, when 16,105 study permits were issued to its citizens. India maintained its position as the top source country, followed by China. The Philippines, Nepal, and France retained their places in the top ten.

Nigerians received 1% of the US non-immigrant visas issued in 2023, ranking 15th on the global list
10.7 million US non-immigrant visas were issued in 2023, 36% more than in 2022, with Mexicans receiving nearly 23% of the total. The top five countries received more than half of the total issuances. Nigeria — 15th on the list — received 1%.
