Nigeria’s import structure in 2025 is clearly anchored on Asia, which leads as the country’s largest source of imports across most quarters. While there are fluctuations within the year, Asia maintains a strong lead, with import values ranging between ₦7.6 trillion and ₦8.7 trillion. This dominance highlights a deeply entrenched trade relationship in which a significant portion of Nigeria’s external demand—particularly for manufactured goods and industrial inputs—is tied to Asian markets.
