The latest FIFA men’s ranking underlines a clear reshuffling at the top of African football, driven by performances.
Nigeria and Cameroon recorded the largest jumps on the continent, climbing 12 places each, signalling how quickly competitive results can translate into global ranking gains. Morocco remains Africa’s highest-ranked team, sitting 8th globally.
Just below Morocco, Senegal continues to consolidate its elite status, ranking 12th in the world, while Algeria and Egypt remain firmly in Africa’s top five despite modest movements.
