X (formerly Twitter) remains one of the world’s most influential real-time conversation platforms, shaping discussions across politics, business, sports, religion, and entertainment. In Africa, its advertising reach data reveals where the platform’s largest addressable audiences are concentrated.
Nigeria stands clearly ahead with an estimated 7.3 million reachable users, making it the continent’s largest X Ad market among the countries listed. Egypt (4.5 million) and South Africa (3.1 million) follow, while countries such as Kenya (2.1 million) and Ghana (1.1 million) form a second tier.
At the lower end, Tunisia records 322,000 users, underscoring a significant usage gap across African markets. The data shows that X’s African presence is heavily concentrated in a few leading countries, with Nigeria emerging as the platform’s dominant market by advertising reach.
