For the second consecutive year, a local title by Funke Akindele was the highest-grossing movie in Nigeria. This follows the ₦1 billion naira milestone of her 2023 movie, A Tribe Called Judah. Her 2024 movie, Everybody Loves Jenifa, grossing ₦1.13 billion was the only title to exceed ₦1 billion in earnings. Deadpool & Wolverine, the world's highest-grossing R-rated movie ever released, followed with ₦706.72 million, the highest of any foreign title in Nigeria.
