The global distribution of LinkedIn users shows a large concentration in North America, where 277 million users account for over 23% of the platform’s entire user base as of January 2025. In contrast, the entire African continent combined contributes far less, with Nigeria, one of the continent's largest contributors, recording only 11 million users. This highlights a major gap in professional networking adoption across regions, especially when it comes to leveraging LinkedIn as a tool for visibility, jobs, partnerships, and career growth. Some of the world’s biggest job markets—Southern Asia (180M) and Southern America (148M)—trail behind North America but still show robust engagement. South-Eastern Asia and Europe also maintain strong representation, while regions like the Caribbean, Middle Africa, and Central Asia record under 10 million users each.
