In 2024, Rema reached the highest peak among Nigerian artistes on Spotify, with a remarkable 35.2m monthly listeners in January. However, his listeners gradually declined after this peak, settling at 20.8m by December 30. Rema lost 14.4m monthly listeners in the period.

Meanwhile, Ayra Starr experienced a meteoric rise. Her listeners nearly tripled, surging from 11.5m in January to 32.1m in May. Although her listeners dropped to 24.3m in December, this growth solidified her place as one of the most exciting stars on the Nigerian music scene.

Burna Boy grew from 16.4 million in January to 23.4 million in December, Tems peaked at 20 million in May before settling at 18 million by December, and Wizkid saw moderate growth from 9.9 million to 11.5 million by December.
