Asia dominates the global X (formerly Twitter) landscape, accounting for a staggering 43.5% of all active users worldwide as of January 2025. With over 255 million users, the region alone hosts more than four out of every ten people active on the platform globally. This makes Asia not just a significant consumer base but also a strategic focus for engagement, advertising, and global digital conversations.
America follows as the second-largest hub, with 176.9 million users, representing 30.2% of the global total, while Europe accounts for 20.5%, showcasing a more balanced distribution between the western continents. In contrast, Africa, with 27.8 million users and only a 4.8% share, remains relatively underrepresented on the platform despite its youthful, tech-savvy population. Oceania sits at the bottom with just 6.3 million users and a 1.1% share.
