Nigeria’s budget has surged from ₦4.43 trillion in 2010 to an approved ₦54.99 trillion for 2025, marking a historic 91% year-on-year increase.

This growth reflects significant investments in infrastructure and public services, with ₦23.963 trillion earmarked for capital projects and ₦13.64 trillion for recurrent expenditure in 2025.

However, concerns about ₦14.317 trillion allocated for debt servicing, with an estimated deficit of ₦13.08 trillion remain significant.
