Lagos State's 2025 budget is more than double Niger State's

In the 2025 budget cycle, Niger, Ogun, and Rivers states join Lagos in the trillion naira club. Ogun and Rivers' budgets are 50% more than their 2024 figures, while Niger has a budget 153.75% bigger than its 2024 budget.

Akwa Ibom, Delta, and Enugu states have budgets that exceed ₦900 billion, pushing them close to the one trillion naira mark. However, Akwa Ibom's 2025 budget is a modest 12.36% increase from its ₦849.97 billion budget in 2024. Delta and Enugu states' budgets are 35.07% and 86.19% more, respectively, than their 2024 budgets.
